Location: Kim Gary Hong Kong Style Restaurant (Avenue-K)
Event: Bosco Wong as Kim Gary Spokesperson Press Conference
Loyal fans of Bosco Wong Chung Chak (黃宗澤) brought huge posters and large banners to the press conference to support him. Other than that, there were more fans waiting patiently for him outside the restaurant, showing just how irresistable Bosco was! When asked whether the media in Hong Kong was deliberately targetting him and making up rumours, Bosco nonchalantly expressed that he really didn’t mind. After all, they were only rumours.
So the reporters then joked and asked him whether he wanted more rumour partners, he immediately jumped up and replied, “Of course I don’t want more rumours!” The host, Dai Bo (大寶), then added, “Having Myolie Wu Hang Yee (胡杏兒) is enough”. Bosco, who wasn’t prepared for such a comment, could only laugh to himself.
Bosco tried very hard to avoid discussing rumoured girlfriend, Myolie, but the owner of the Kim Gary restaurant suggested plans to put the two together, saying, “Perhaps we can invite Myolie to become a spokesperson as well?” Bosco immediately appeared very embarassed.
Reporters asked him whether he liked the chubby or skinny Myolie, he tossed the ball back to the Kim Gary owner and said, “It doesn’t matter. The most important thing is what the boss thinks!”
Regarding the price for this endorsement, Bosco also passed the question to the Kim Gary restaurant owner to respond. However, due to business confidentiality, the owner simply revealed that both parties were happy with the price.
Bosco said, “This length of my term as a spokesperson will last 1 year, but if both parties are happy cooperating with one another, I won’t rule out the possibility or renewing the contract.” And Bosco will be visiting Malaysia 2 more times in the near future to help with the restaurant’s promotional functions.
Wishes to work with Simon Yam
After completing the filming of “Casino Crisis” 《賭場風雲》 in Philippines and Dong Guan, Bosco is now engaged in the filming of 40-episode long series “Sweet Heart Tempest” (tentative name) 《糖心風暴》 (暫名). “Sweet Heart Tempest” is series about food and abalone business.
Bosco also revealed that he knew how to cook when he was around 7-8 years old. On regular days, he enjoys shopping at the market, and then returning home to cook. He expressed that he hoped to film a cooking show.
He also said that he personally really liked Simon Yam Tat Wah (任達華), and wished to collaborate with him. He also said, “Of course, it’d be nice if I can film with him here in Malaysia!”
Furthermore, the press conference specially arranged to play Au Revoir Shanghai’s 《上海傳奇》 themesong “Loved by Nobody” 《無人愛》, which was sung by Bosco, in the background. As a result, both Malaysian and Hong Kong fans on the scene started to sing along loudly. Seeing this, Bosco also happily sang along!
Witty Comment to Cover Embarassment
Bosco’s trip to Malaysia was very hectic. He was scheduled to arrive at the press conference at 11am, but was late for 45 minutes. Bosco later told the reporters that he had already especially woke up half an hour early this morning. So when they asked him why he was still late, he appeared scared at first, then laughed and said, “I’m really sorry. There was a lot of traffic just now.”
The host explained that Bosco was coming from Sunway Town, so that was why he ran into some traffic, but some reporters pointed out that they came from all the way in Subang. Bosco sincerely replied, “I’m really sorry. Next time I’ll pay you back by arriving half an hour early, okay?” The reporters cracked up at that comment.
